How to Remake in VALORANT After Patch 10.00?

When one or more players disconnects during the first round of a match, a remake vote automatically becomes available. To successfully remake, a majority of the remaining players must vote “Yes”. For example, if one player disconnects in Round 1, three out of the four remaining teammates need to vote “Yes” for the remake to pass.

In VALORANT, a remake allows your team to cancel a match early if one or more players disconnects during the first round. When a remake is successfully completed, the match ends immediately, and it doesn’t count as a win or loss for any player. Only the absent player receives a penalty. This feature helps ensure fairness by preventing teams from being forced to play with fewer members right from the start.

Manual Remake System (Before Patch 10.00)

Earlier in VALORANT, the remake system wasn’t automatic as it is now. The Automatic Remake Voting feature was introduced in Patch 10.00 in January 2025.

Previously, players had to manually initiate a remake vote using the in-game chat command “/remake” if a teammate disconnected or went AFK during the first round. This command could only be used once the second round started and only if the disconnected player hadn’t dealt any damage in the first round. For the remake to succeed, all remaining teammates had to vote “yes.” If the vote passed, the match ended immediately with no rank rating (RR) loss or gain for the active players, while the disconnected player received a penalty for leaving.
